The provisions of sections 18 and 53 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act apply to requests made in terms of section 23 of this Act.

What this means for your estate
- A short cross-reference, but a real procedural requirement, access requests under s.23 have to follow PAIA's own request procedure (ss.18/53), not an estate's own informal process, which is one more reason a PAIA manual and a POPIA access process end up being the same piece of paperwork in practice.
